Moving closer....
Nowadays I have got a special feeling that I am reaching my goals. This semester so far has been an enriching and meaningful one. I've made a lot of new friends and professors who try their very best to teach all the curious students in class.
Seems like 2 of my pillars are quite stable...now moving on the the third...

Part time or full time?
Hmm some of my friends are asking me, if my financial planning job a part time or a full time job. I don't treat financial planning as a part time job and neither do I treat it as a full time job as well. I treat it as my own business which I sell my service and to provide sound and reliable advices to all my clients. That's all :)

Looking for car
I was doing my routine stuff (checking out cars on the website) after I was sick and tired of mugging and I realise that buying a car is not as easy as it seems. The problem is not with the $ but the things that the buyer has to look out for. Here are some of those:
1) Fuel consumption (We're in a world where we will be seeing a $200/barrel oil in near future)
2) Brand (I think it is personal preference. But I'm sick of seeing Hondas and Toyotas on the road even though I'm do not have anything against them)
3) Comfort (Leather seat is a must, together with LCD display with other high tech stuffs)
4) Ease of driving (Heard that european cars and japanese cars feel different with driving)
5)Safety (It has to withstand collision and its better to have more airbags)
Therefore after factoring all these mentioned, I realise that this fits me :)

A new Volkwagen Golf! Why is this so?
1)Decent FC (17km/L), and annual road tax is cheap.
2)A Volkwagen!
3)Nice seats with LCD display. It has the outlook of my favourite BMW 1 series and Audi A3
4)Has a twin-charged engine for a nice cruise. 8 secs to reach 220km/h
5)6 ABS airbags! (OMG)
This car looks yummy. I really wish that I can graduate soon and test drive this car before I dump my cash to get this baby. It's not expensive at all because SMU Economics graduates get 4k a month as starting pay according to a recent survey. Bleah. :)

:)
I have realised for a long time that I have not been posting for quite sometime. I wanted to but I was rather busy for the past 2 weeks that's pretty disgusting. It's full of presentations and reports due. I am glad that I have cleared all of them smoothly and of course I hope I will score well for them too.
So what's left? A quiz tomorrow and exams the week after will generally sum up my busy semester. I will have more than 3 months of vacation! :) Have to make up for what I have not been doing during the normal school term. Will churn out the whole to-do-list after my FA quiz tomorrow!
Hmm I have to admit that I still think of her once in a while. But I do not want to see her. It's a mixed feeling. I think I will become speechless once I see her. What I can do now is just to look into her fb profile once in a while to see that she's doing okay. Hopefully she can achieve the things that she told me she wanted to this semester. I will be happy for her if she does.

This Valentines Day
FlowerThought is having a rest for this year's valentine's day because one of the integral members is not in Singapore. Guess this year's valentine's day since I have no flower delivery to do, I better rest and mug more:). Sounds like a great idea to sleep and study throughout valentine's day.

梁静茹-亲亲
I am now listening to this album which was released 2 years back, and I have to say this is the best album that she has released. Almost all the songs inside are nice. Here's 2 of my best-liked songs
As usual, take note of the lyrics. Very meaningful:)

Today
I was busy for the whole day. In the morning I went to PS to meet my first client. After that I met up my friend at SMU to go down to a shop in Bradell together to change the rubber of my table tennis bat because I am changing my playing style, and hence the need to change the rubber. Now my bat has pimples on one side already :(..but it has lost a lot of weight and it feels lighter now. Yay!

It has pimples which no medication of cleansing lotion can help, but it has become lighter and enables me to be faster during the game.
After changing the rubber, I went to Tampines Mall to meet my pal's gf, and was surprised to find that he was with her too. That's lucky because without him it would have been a boring journey from Tampines back to Bukit Panjang instead of chatting :). It was a super long journey back home! :(
I'm super shag now, but later still have to work to generate the BIs for my clients and read up a bit of working/school stuff.

This week: 22-28 Dec
I have applied a week off to enjoy myself this week. Monday was a very happy day for my. In the morning I went to a Wii gaming party organized by my pal. I have to say that the gaming party goes on very smoothly, and there is no hiccups at all. Well done! I get to know new friends also during the party, and of course I've met my pal's girlfriend also. She is a nice girl! :)
In the evening I attended my sister's ROM. Of course being her only brother, I have to do something for her. I burnt the disc with songs suitable for the occasion but unfortunately the speakers at the function hall were not working...argh. I was also the camera man, well maybe to say one of the camera men for the function..hahaha. Pictures to be uploaded soon.
Hmm..I've learnt a lot about ROM things during these few months. So guys if you need to plan when to pop the question, where to book nice buffet and place for ROM, do feel free and look for me! wahahaha

The Story of Wealth Management
I was reading through the Business Times Weekend (20-21 Dec) and discovered a great article written by Christopher Tan, who is the CEO of Providend. He gave several arguments that banks are not a place to get financial advice. He said'
"Banks are not the place to get financial advice. Their department is a flwaed one. One department is getting you to spend future money, another is getting you to save. This is not the principle of good financial planning"
The recent saga proves this point. So guys, if you are going to plan your financials, get advice from a company who is dealing with financial planning.

M5 lesson today
Julian taught for the first half of the class. The second half of the class was taken by another trainer Steven. He has a lot of work experience and he is a natural presentor. Thoughout his class he never fails to tell us stories that relates to his experience and the lesson. I really learnt a lot from him today. Well, even though his class is interesting, I never fail to be in my own wonderland once in a while. Surprisingly today my artistic cells are active (They are never active after secondary school), before I picked up my pencil and drew this:

Hmm...I wonder if it's a guy or a girl that I drew...hahahaha

Cookie making session + Pass M5 test = happy =)
Quite a few things happened to me on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, I went to my best pal's place to learn how to make delicious cookies. He has really mastered the art of cookie making and he taught me how to make two types of cookies, which is the hard cookie and the subway-type soft cookie. We started off the day with baking the hard cookie. Pictures explain more than a thousand words! :)

Dought for hard cookie after adding and mixing the ingredients

Adopted from the technique of making 汤圆 by making the dough into little balls, this method enables the cookies to have a nice round shape by just pressing them gently on the baking tray

My first hard cookie! Though it does not looks nice but it taste good k...even my parents and my sis said so:)

Hard cookies fall in! :)
Next we proceeded to bake the soft cookies. The steps involved are more complicated.

Dough for soft cookies. The dough is significantly softer and stickier

Soft cookies done! More chocolate chips added compared to the hard ones.
Thats my cookie making experience. I went for my M5 test on Tuesday. Quite an easy test and I was the second person to complete it. I passed..woo hoo!
